Mordançage forms the basis of my Wastelands series. Its destructive nature—etching and bleaching the print to loosen and transform the silver gelatin emulsion—perfectly complements the desolate, eroded character of the series.

The process creates unpredictable textures, distortions, and traces of decay, making each print unique. Sometimes I further intervene by adding color to the final print, enhancing the sense of deterioration and creating an almost otherworldly landscape.
